Production effects

Assalamualaikum and a good day to all of the readers. Today i will continue on about the effects of using chemical pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Last week i have told about the effects on nature. So this week i will talk about the effects on the production itself. I will start first with the effect of chemical pesticides towards production.
Too much production..too much use of chemical pesticides
As you can see, the usage of chemical pesticide have brought up positive and  negative feedback to the production itself. The first positive effect is the increased food production itself. At a mere 50 million tons in 1948–49, food production had an increase of an almost 198 million tons by the end of 1996–97 from an estimated 169 million hectares of a permanently cropped land. This is due to the decreased rate from animal pests which has been the main factor in affecting the production growth of the agriculture itself. Many of the productions are either little or none at all. Next is the vector disease control. Chemical pesticides is shown being effective in fending off diseases that came from small bugs and animals which carries these disease through their body. One great example to show is the malaria issue in india in 2005. Around 5000 deaths each day in india's populationdue to Malaria spreading through the crops by the mosquitoes itself. After the usage of pesticides in order to fend off these mosquitoes, the death rate have been decreased over the year.

Now, you sure that is healthy?
Even if there are positive effects, Negative effects ensues in the usage of chemical pesticides in production. The most and foremost effect that can be seen to the production is the dropped in quality of foods production. Many of the plant production which uses pesticides will usually loses around 15% of their own natural fibres, which loses the production's health value. Besides that, around  5.2% of chemical residues can be found on any production that uses chemical pesticides. This may not seems harmful at first, but, imagine, if you took vegetables with these residues for a year. What will happen? It will bring hazardous effect towards our bodies itself. These vegetables will then be labelled as poisonous.

Okay, now i will move on to the effect of chemical fertilizers towards production. The only positive effect of chemical fertilizers is that it fertilizes soil and land at a much faster rate than the organic fertilizers. However, as much as the chemical pesticides, it affects the production quality. By plating veggies with the use of chemical fertilizers, it can produce some harmful chemical residues. For example, a popular fertilizer, Urea. It produces ammonia emanation, which then contributes to acid  groundwater contamination. Acid groundwater contamination is the main cause of gastric cancer, goitre, birth malformations, hypertensions, testicular cancer and stomach cancer. This will greatly leads to the boycott of using these chemical productions, as people would not want to risk their hralth to eat such thing.
Big, big loses of economic in agriculture
Now, since both chemical pesticides and chemical fetilizers affect humans health, it will make sense if production of the crops will dropped. This is due people not buying these vegetables, but only those of premium production of vegetables. While other simply look for other food alternatives towards gaining healthy production from the vegetables such as pills, food supplements, and more. This may seem not to affect the agriculture, but in time, we can see the effects took action in 5 or 10 years maybe, as people will rely more on food supplements, which was made using technologies rather than the traditional vegetables production. This will greatly reduce the agriculture production, which in turn, big losses for the marketers. Without stable income, these marketers will then have big problems in maintaining agriculture production. These problems will then lead to our economic financial income, as agriculture is one of our country biggest income.

This is the video that gave some revelations towards the production issue.

Okay that is all i guess. Next time, i will write about the reasons on why farmers and their employers decided to use chemical pesticides and chemical pesticides in their crops. Untill  then, farewell!
